Yes, music is my life and so I came up with the idea to blog about the music I am listening to and post weekly charts of my top 10 songs that made it on my USB stick and with it into my car audio system. If you love music like I do you might be able to discover some new food for your soul with this.

So let’s start it off:

The Ataris - Not Capable Of Love (2007)
Punk Rock at its best! The guitars you hear during the verses remind me a lot of The Cure.

Intro - New Life (1995)
A very underrated band with a beautiful lead singer and songwriter Kenny “G-Love” Greene who unfortunately passed away in 2001. R.I.P.

Foo Fighters - Everlong live (1997)
I love the Foo Fighters and this is one of my favorite songs. I adore the slower live version.

Art ‘N Soul - Ever Since You Went Away (1996)
These kind of songs make me wish I could go back to the 90’s when music was just like this song.

World Renown - How Nice I Am (1995)
Classic Hip Hop song from the 90s which never gets old. Brings back lots of memories.

She Wants Revenge - Tear You Apart (2005)
So dark, so fresh, so raw.

Big Shug - It Just Don’t Stop (2008)
Produced by the Almighty Mr. DJ PREMIER. Just listen to the beat, out of this world. Shug speaking out the truth…

Soul For Real - Candy Rain (1994)
Heavy D Production at its finest. Good times.

Eskimo Joe - Black Fingernails, Red Wine (2006)
Another dark Alternative song which just stands out nowadays.

UGK feat. Outkast - Int’l Players Anthem (2007)
R.I.P. Pimp C.

And that’s that for this week. Feel free to comment on the song choice.

Finally I want to thank Paula Turku for letting me use one of her beautiful photographs in this post. You can find more of her stunning artwork at: http://misyu.deviantart.com/
